Okay, I have to admit that I can take or leave brownies (for the most part). But these – THESE – look AMAZING. That frosting looks so light and I love your description of the brownies themselves. LOVE!!

I’m baaaack!! Got your comment on my site – thank you so much!! Really happy to have connected. Two things:
1) I couldn’t find an email address for you anywhere on your site (which is why I’m leaving a comment). Do you have an RSS feed I can subscribe to? I love to keep up with my favorite bloggers 🙂
2) I noticed that The Pixelista did your blog design! She did mine, too, and we just launched it last week!
Thanks & sorry to keep bugging you!
xoxo – k

I absolutely LOVE working with Jessica!! (PIxelista) I swear that she read my mind with certain design elements I was looking for! In fact, now that I have been up and running for several months now, I need to go back to her for some modifications and you just mentioned some of them.
I do not have an RSS feed (In fact, to show you how little I really know about blogging, I don’t even know what that is!! 😉 I follow all my favorite blogs with Bloglovin. Is an RSS feed easier to use?? It’s something I’ll ask Jessica for help with installing.
My e-mail contact is not in an obvious place. It’s on my “Meet Erik and Renee” section and it’s: renee.twointhekitchen@gmail.com. I need to place it in an easier to find location for sure!!
I’m so glad we connected Kristy! In fact, I ran into your blog because your flatbread pizza was next to my frosted brownies on foodgawker and I was like: Whaaaat? Must. Check. That. Out!!! Your food and blog look incredible and I can’t wait to see more!!
-Renee 🙂

Just getting back to read this! I totally agree about Jessica being able to read minds – I didn’t ask for even ONE change after she sent me my design proofs. And she’s always on time, very professional and reasonably priced. Love her!!
Don’t pay for an RSS feed, I will totally help you! It’s easy to set up and add to your “connect with me” section. No worries if you’d rather go the Jessica route but I’d honestly be happy to get you going with it! And, just so you know, an rss feed is just a way for your newest posts to update in a reader (like this one: http://theoldreader.com/) so people can see the newest posts from anyone they’ve subscribed to (vs. getting them in their inbox).
yay for new friends!! xoxo

Kristy, you are a doll!! I will private message you to ask your advice on how to set one up. Thank you so much for the offer!! I cannot believe you also just got back from Punta Cana too!! Which resort did you stay at? We were at Paradisus and loved it!! 🙂

I love how thick they are. Brownies are always my first choice sweet, especially if there’s frosting involved. Glad you got your computer fixed and totally jealous you have been vacationing in Punta Cana 🙂
Renee says
Thanks Christin! I think you and I definitely have the same tastes in sweets!! And apparently vacations too!! Punta Cana was a blast!! 🙂

Kristi @ Inspiration Kitchen says
Ack! I was loving the look of that brownie and imagining that missing fork bite in my mouth when I read that you broke your computer. My heart stopped! I live by my computer – so I felt your pain! Let’s eat some brownies – it will make us feel better!
Renee says
You always get me to laugh Kristi! It’s what I love about you!! Yes, I was devastated when my computer broke!! I had no way to edit pictures, visit all my bloggy friends, stalk social media or enter the blogging world at all. AHHHHH!! The good part is that my hard drive remained intact and the part that needed replacing was covered by warranty. But heck, let’s forget all that and eat some brownies together!! 🙂
Layla @ Brunch Time Baker says

Renee says
Thank you Layla!! 🙂

Mal says
Help! These brownies are currently in the oven and the top is hard but the middle is not baking! This happens almost everytime I make brownies! What am I doing wrong?! I want moist fudge brownies like from the store bought box kind! :-/
Renee says
First, I would make sure that your oven is really the correct temperature. If you don’t already have one, I would buy an oven thermometer that hangs on the rack in your oven. Most ovens are not calibrated correctly and just because your oven temp says 350 degrees, it could be off by a few. An oven thermometer will tell you what your actual temp is. Secondly, if your oven temp is correct I would say, you may not be doing anything wrong. These brownies ARE harder and crackly on the top and the middle will seem undone. Go by what the instructions say and allow the brownies to cool for at least 30 to forty minutes before cutting into them. They are still baking inside while you allow that to happen. And THEN when you cut into them they will be perfect! Crackly on the top and moist and fudgy on the inside!!! Oh, and as I said in the post, these are NOT store bought box kind of brownies. But they ARE delicious!! 🙂
